With the Communiqué published in the Official Gazette on October 11, 2023, an additional time extension right has been granted for Inward Processing Authorizations (IPA). For authorizations whose export commitments have not yet been closed (including both open authorizations and those with pending closure requests), an additional period of up to half of the original duration of the authorization can be obtained.

COMMUNIQUÉ

COMMUNIQUÉ ON THE AMENDMENT OF THE COMMUNIQUÉ ON THE INWARD PROCESSING REGIME (EXPORT: 2006/12)

(EXPORT: 2023/8)

ARTICLE 1 – The following paragraph has been added to the provisional Article 37 of the Communiqué on the Inward Processing Regime (Export: 2006/12) published in the Official Gazette dated 20/12/2006 and numbered 26382:

“(2) For inward processing authorizations issued before the effective date of this paragraph and after 1/1/2020, whose export commitment accounts have not yet been closed, an additional period not exceeding half of the original duration of the authorization shall be granted from the date the application is deemed appropriate, provided that an application is made to the Ministry within 6 (six) months from the effective date of this paragraph.”

ARTICLE 2 – This Communiqué shall enter into force on the date of its publication.

ARTICLE 3 – The provisions of this Communiqué shall be executed by the Minister of Trade.
